Style at any age

On the weekend we went to Toowoomba (about 2 hours from my house, outside of Brisbane and up the mountain range) for a family get together with my mum's extended family. There was lots of Aunties, Uncles, cousins and the ever-growing bunch of cousins' children. It was a fun day filled with reacquainting with old faces and meeting new ones.

My mum has five sisters (only four of them plus my mum were there as my other Aunty lives in Amsterdam) and they are all very stylish. My Oma (grandma) always cared about looking well presented and she always looked stylish and put-together right up until she passed away at the ripe old age of 95. Though not superficial, my Aunties always compliment people on their outfit and how they look and I think its really nice. I just hope I look as stylish and well-put together as they do when I am that age. I have never thought of it before, but I suppose I could consider them my style icons. And they are proof that you can look good at any age.

My Aunty Rita and Uncle Charles looking European and stylish. She made that skirt and matching scarf!
